Stampin’ Up! Gnome For The Holidays Christmas Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Gnome For The Holidays stamp set to create a Christmas card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial for this card and you can see it on my YouTube channel here.

My card design was inspired by the sketch from SugarPea Mix It Up Challenge #72.  I turned the sketch on the side and then ended up moving the sentiment to the top..hopefully they’ll still let me in. 🙂

I started by adhering a panel from the In Good Taste DSP (on sale for 15% off during October) to the front of an Early Espresso card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut a panel of Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ DSP (on sale for 15% off during October) with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Gnome For The Holidays stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the image out with another one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I adhered the die cut sentiment to the back of the DSP die cut with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered the two die cuts to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  I stamped the gnome images from the Gnome For The Holidays stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored them with Light and Dark Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Cinnamon Cider, Mango Melody and Ivory Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I cut the gnome images out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies and then adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered three Gold Glitter Enamel Dots around the card front to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment and tree image from the Gnome For The Holidays stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento and Cherry Cobbler inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I colored the tree image with Light Cinnamon Cider, So Saffron, Shaded Spruce, Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Markers as well as the Ivory Stampin’ Blends Marker to finish the inside fo the card.

  1. Well that’s adorable. It’s interesting how my opinion changes when I see things in the catalogue vs seeing them in real life. And I mean that in both senses… stuff I thought I needed I’m now not so sure on, and stuff i didn’t like, I now love.

    • Thanks! I agree…sometimes I’m sure that I don’t need an item until I see what someone else has made with it. 🙂
