Stampin’ Up! Peace & Joy Snowflake Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Peace & Joy stamp set bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a theme challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here is the theme for our hop this week:

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #396.

I started by adhering a panel of the Snowflake Splendor DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I adhered pieces of Adhesive Sheets to the back of a panel of Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and cut it with three of the dies from the So Many Snowflakes Dies.  I adhered the die cuts to the card front with the Adhesive Sheets.

I adhered pieces of Adhesive Sheets to the back of a panel of Silver Foil Sheets and then cut the panel with one of the Joy Dies.  I cut a panel of Whisper White card stock with the layering sentiment die from the Joy Dies and then adhered the die cuts together with the Adhesive Sheets.  I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with Glue Dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Peace & Joy stamp set in Pacific Point ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then snipped it out.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Glue Dots and then adhered the card front to a Pacific Point card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes photopolymer stamp set in Pacific Point ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I inked the snowflake image from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set in Pool Party ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it down the side of the panel to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

MAGNETIC CUTTING PLATE UPDATE

Stampin’ Up! shared the following update with us yesterday related to the Magnetic Cutting Plate:

Due to quality concerns, and to ensure our customers have the best possible product, we have decided to shut off the Magnetic Cutting Plate (item 149656), effective immediately. As a workaround, we suggest that you use washi tape or sticky notes with standard plates to keep your dies aligned during use.

We are working hard to resolve the issues with this product. However, we are unable to estimate when or what that will be at this time. As always, we will keep you posted with any updates.

All customers who have previously ordered the Magnetic Cutting Plate will automatically receive coupon codes in an email as compensation. This email will be issued sometime in November, so be on the lookout for that. Feel free to keep or discard your Magnetic Cutting Plates as we do not need them returned.

If you need any stamping supplies, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.  Just click on the Order Stampin’ Up! Online Now button on the right side of the screen to go directly to my online store or drop me an email if you have any questions.  Happy Stamping!
