Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “birthday” theme and I’m featuring the upcoming Butterfly Brilliance stamp set bundle for my project.

I started by inking the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set (available March 2) with Smoky Slate ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it on the front of a Thick Basic White card base.  Then I stamped the Butterfly Brilliance image again in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the image with Light and Dark So Saffron and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I cut the butterfly image out with the coordinating Brilliant Wings Dies (available March 2) and then adhered it over the stamped image on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added Wink Of Stella over the butterfly image (doesn’t show up at all in the photos…but it’s there!).

I stamped the sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells photopolymer stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Basic White card stock .  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Then I colored another one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp with Light and Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blends and adhered it along the side of the panel with Stampin’ Seal.  I trimmed the edge of the butterfly even with the panel and then adhered it to the inside of the card to finish it.
