I used the cute Lighting The Way stamp set bundle from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! January-April 2023 Mini Catalog to create a quick card to share with you today.
My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #564.
I started by stamping the larger circle image from the Lighting The Way stamp set (available in photopolymer and cling mount January 5) in Daffodil Delight ink on the front of a Thick Basic White card base. I used one of the Small Blending Brushes (available Jan 5) to apply Daffodil Delight ink around the stamped image to give a “glow”.
I cut panels of Evening Evergreen and Brushed Metallic Cardstock with the lantern die from the Lighting The Way Dies (available Jan 5) and then snipped the metallic die cut so that the top and the bottom of the lantern were left. I adhered the two die cuts together and then to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I stamped the small circle image from the Lighting The Way stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink on the card and then added the lightening bug trail image from the Lighting The Way stamp set in Gray Granite ink near two of the circle stamps.
I stamped the three lightening bug images and the small circle images from the Lighting The Way stamp set in Orchid Oasis and Daffodil Delight inks on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut them out with the coordinating Lighting The Way Dies. I adhered the die cuts to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Lighting The Way stamp set in Starry Sky ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut around it with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I slid the die over and cut the panel again to make the die cut smaller and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish it.
I stamped the lightening bug and trail images in Orchid Oasis, Daffodil Delight and Gray Granite inks on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
