I used the Envelope Punch Board from Stampin’ Up! to create a Crayon & Note Card Holder. Here are the instructions:
Start with an 8″ x 8″ card stock panel. I adhered a 7-7/8″ x 7-7/8″ panel of Designer Series Paper over the card base, but that is not necessary.
Put your card stock panel into the Envelope Punch Board face up. Punch and score the first time at 3-1/8″. Then slide the panel to the 3-7/8″ mark and punch and score it again. Turn the panel 90 degrees and line up your score line with the point on the Envelope Punch Board (just as you would when creating a regular envelope) and punch and score it again. Then slide your panel over to line up the second score line and punch and score it again. Repeat this process for the third side. On the last side, punch and score at the first score line and punch only at the second line.
Take your Paper Snips and snip out the little squares in the 4 corners.
Apply adhesive (I used SNAIL) to to the flap with the single score line and fold it down toward the inside and adhere it.
Fold all of your score lines toward the center. Apply Sticky Strip to the left side of the bottom flap and to the lower side of the right flap.
Fold the bottom flap at both score lines making it square, then remove the Sticky Strip covering and fold the left side flap in and adhere it to the bottom flap.
Remove the covering from the Sticky Strip on the right flap and fold it toward the center, adhering it to the bottom and left flaps. Your base holder is now complete and you can decorate it as you wish.
These are the three crayon & note card holders that I made.
And I tucked four stamped note cards, four envelopes and a small box of crayons inside each one. I made these as little gifts for the kids in my family for Christmas. They can color the stamped images on the notecards, write their thank you note inside and send it off in an envelope that they can color on too!
