I used the Christmas Tagables and Christmas Collectibles stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create an easel card to share with you today. I saw a scallop circle easel card that was shared by Jeannette Roth on our private Demonstrator Facebook group and I really liked the design so I decided to create one too!
Circle easel cards are really easy to make, simply cut three circles using the scallop circle from the Circles Collection Framelits Dies. Then use your Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score one of the circles at 2-1/2″ and again at 4-1/8″.
Then apply adhesive to the half of the circle that is left of the 2-1/2″ score line and adhere it to the circle die cut that will be the top of your card. Turn the layered circles over and apply adhesive to the right of the 4-1/8″ score line and adhere the circle that will be the bottom of your card.
Decorate and stamp the card as you wish, then “z” fold the card when you are finished to create the easel.
I used some of the Season of Style DSP and Old Olive 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon to decorate the card front. I added a Crumb Cake die cut circle that was embossed with the Pretty Print Embossing Folder and a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock that was also die cut and embossed with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.
The Christmas Collectibles (wood mount and clear mount) image was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink then a second time in Old Olive ink. I punched the Cherry Cobbler ornament with the Christmas Ornament Punch and the center of the Old Olive ornament with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and I layered them to create the two color ornament. Don’t forget that you can purchase the Christmas Collectibles and the Christmas Ornament Punch in a bundle and save 15% (wood mount and clear mount).
The sentiment from the Christmas Tagables Photopolymer stamp set was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and punched out with the Artisan Label Punch. I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I finished the card by stamping the sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Old Olive ink and placing three Rhinestone Basic Jewels inside the card. The rhinestones hold the card in the easel position when you open it. Since this is a 5″ round card, I also created an envelope with the Envelope Punch Board to perfectly fit this card.
