Shaving Cream Technique

The shaving cream technique is a lot of fun and creates beautiful backgrounds! A Nice Cuppa - Stamp With Amy K

Begin by squirting a large amount of standard shaving cream (inexpensive white cream rather than a gel type) on to a disposable surface.  I used a piece of wax paper, but you can also use a paper plate.

Use a butter knife or wooden stick to smooth out the surface a bit, a bit like frosting a cake.

Drop several drops of reinker in your color(s) of choice over the shaving cream.  I used Melon Mambo.  If you are using multiple colors, add 4-5 drops of each color randomly over the shaving cream.

Use your knife or wooden stick to make swirls through the shaving cream in any pattern that you’d like.  You will want some of the white to be showing so that you’ll get the marbled effect on your project.

Place your Whisper White card stock panel down onto the shaving cream and press it down just a bit so that the entire surface is touching the cream.

Pick up the panel and wipe the shaving cream off with a paper towel to reveal the cool marbled look!  I created one panel using Melon Mambo and another panel using Pool Party ink for my project.
