Quick Holiday Thank You Card & MDS 2+ Giveaway!

I’m trying to get a head start on thank you cards for the gifts that my girls get this holiday season.  Here is my first card, I thought I’d make it a clean and simple one.

Here is the list of products that you will need to make this card:

I started by stamping the image of the girl with VersaMark ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  I sprinkled it with Early Espresso Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  The I colored the image with my Stampin’ Write Markes, punched it out with the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and sponged the edges using Real Red ink.  Then I punched a second scallop circle from Early Espresso Card Stock and I layered the two circles.  Next I cut a strip of Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP to 1-3/8″ x 5-1/4″.  I cut a strip of Early Espresso Card Stock to 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ and adhered that to the back of the DSP.  Then I cut a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and I stamped the sentiment in the upper right corner in VersaMark ink.  I sprinkled it with Early Espresso Stampin’ Emboss Powder and I heat embossed it.  I assembled the card by adhering the Very Vanilla panel to an Early Espresso card base.  Then I adhered the DSP strip to the lower card front and I adhered the image to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love clean and simple cards, especially when I’m making several.  Hope that gives you a head start on your thank you cards too!

And here is an exciting giveaway from Stampin’ Up!
