A Cherry On Top Birthday Card

I finally got around to making a card for the Mojo Monday 270 Challenge.  I’m only two days late.  🙂

Here is the list of products that you will need to make this card:

I started by cutting the background panel from the Cherry Cobbler piece of the Regals DSP Stack to 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Then I cut a strip of Baja Breeze Card Stock to 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″, cut it with the Large Scallop Edgelits and embossed it with the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder.  Next, I cut a strip of Early Espresso Card Stock to 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ and I layered it over the Baja Breeze strip and adhered them both to the Cherry Cobbler DSP panel.  Then I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler ribbon to 5-3/4″ and I adhered it over the embossed strip and pulled it around the back side of the DSP Panel.  I adhered the Cherry Cobbler panel to an Early Espresso card base.  Then I started stamping the images, I used the cake plate and I only inked up the top part of the plate with VersaMark ink (I used my finger to rub off the smudges of ink that got onto the stem while I was inking the image) and I stamped it on Whisper White Card Stock.  I sprinkled the image with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed the image.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the images over the cake plate using Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso inks.  I trimmed around the image and punched the corners with the 3/16″ Corner Punch.  Then I layered a piece of Early Espresso Card Stock behind the image and used the 3/16″ Corner Punch on the corners as well.  I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the image to the card base.  Then I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig again to line up and stamp the images of the little candies and I punched them out with the 1″ Circle Punch.  I added coordinating layers behind the images using the 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch and the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch.  Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered them to the card front.

I thought the colors made a great dessert card.  Hope that you like it too!
