Fabulous Florets in Pacific Point and Basic Black

Today I’m sharing a card that I made using the Stampin’ Up! stamp sets called Fabulous Florets and Sweet Essentials.  The colors were inspired by the Dynamic Duos #53.

I started by stamping the Fabulous Florets flower images in Pacific Point ink on Pacific Point card stock.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Essentials stamp set in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I placed the Ovals Collection Framelits die on the Pacific Point card stock panel and I ran it through my Big Shot, cutting the oval out of the center.

To get the ovals centered correctly, I placed the Pacific Point stamped panel over the Basic Black panel, determined where my oval should be on the Basic Black panel (I used the next smaller size Oval Framelit), taped it down with blue painters tape and cut it with my Big Shot.

Then to determine the placement of the flower inside the frame, I placed my layered frame over the Whisper White card base and I drew little pencil marks at the four widest points of the oval.  I lifted the layered frame off the Whisper White card base, stamped the flower image in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Then I erased my little pencil marks.

Then I created my mask for sponging the Whisper White panel.  I placed sticky notes around the edges so that I wouldn’t get any ink on the outside part that shows around the edges and I sponged the area around the flower with Pacific Point ink.

This is the sponged image after I lifted the mask.

I adhered the Basic Black and Pacific Point frames together with SNAIL, then I adhered the layered frames over the flower image with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished the card front by coloring two rhinestones with a Black Sharpie Marker and adhering them to the card front.

I finished the inside of the card by stamping the flower images again in Pacific Point ink along the bottom of the panel.
