CAS Special Season Holiday Card

It’s Friday so it’s time for another holiday card share!  Sandi MacIver (my upline) and I have both created clean and simple, easily reproducible and mailable holiday cards using the Special Season stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to share with you today.  We’re also including the costing to make a stack of the cards in our posts.  So once you take a peek at my card, be sure to head over to check hers out too!

My card design was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 192 and the colors were inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #168.

I started by embossing a panel of Baked Brown Sugar card stock with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and I adhered the embossed panel to a Gumball Green panel then to a Raspberry Ripple card base with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a strip of Birthday Basics DSP to the card front with SNAIL…I think that some the Birthday Basics DSP patterns look sort-of Christmas-ish!

I colored the tree image from the Special Season stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on a Whisper White panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a Raspberry Ripple panel, then to the card front with SNAIL.  Next, I adhered a thin strip of the Birthday Basics DSP over the edge of the stamped image with SNAIL.  I finished the card front by stamping the sentiment in Raspberry Ripple ink on a strip of Baked Brown Sugar card stock and I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished the inside of the card by stamping the sentiment in Raspberry Ripple ink on a Whisper White panel, then coloring the pine image with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamping it under the sentiment.

Here is the cost breakdown for creating 36 cards (this is assuming that you already have the stamp set, Embossing Folder, ink and SNAIL adhesive):

Total $19.60 or $0.54 per card

You can make 36 additional cards by adding another pack of Raspberry Ripple card stock.  You’ll have enough of the other card stock, Stampin’ Dimensionals and DSP left over to finish the second batch and the cost for the additional 36 cards would be $15.65 or $0.44 each.
