Yippee Skippee Banner Card – Stampin’ Up!

A very Merry Christmas to those of you celebrating today!  I’m looking forward to spending some time with the family and eating some holiday goodies!!  Hope that you’re able to enjoy the holiday with family and friends also.

I made a quick card today using the Yippee-Skippee stamp set and the new Banner Framelits and Fresh Prints DSP Stack paper from the upcoming 2014 Occasions Catalog from Stampin’ Up!  I made this card for the Stamping & Blogging SB36 Sketch Challenge that is going on this week.  Sandi MacIver made a card using the same sketch so be sure to go check her card out after peeking at mine, you can see her card by clicking here.

I started by adhering a panel from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack (available Jan 3) to a Whisper White panel, then to a Crumb Cake card base.  Then I cut a strip of Bermuda Bay card stock, Real Red card stock and a strip from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack and I used the Hexagon Punch to create banner ends on each one.

I embossed the Real Red banner with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration Item available Jan 28-Mar 31), then adhered all three banners to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the image from the Positively Chevron stamp (wood mount and clear mount) in Real Red ink on a Real Red panel and I cut out a banner using the Banners Framelits Dies (available Jan 3).  I layered the Real Red banner over a Bermuda Bay banner that I’d also cut with a Banner Framelits Die, then adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I colored the sentiment from the Yippee-Skippee stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) with my Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on a Whisper White panel.  I punched the sentiment out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and layered it over a Circles Collection Framelits die cut from Crumb Cake card stock.  I adhered the layered circles with SNAIL then tied Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine (from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit) through a Basic Metal Button (available Jan 3) and adhered that to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I finished the inside of the card by adhering a leftover strip of the Fresh Prints DSP Stack paper to a Whisper White panel.

The complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, to create the project is at the very bottom of this post.
