Petite Petals All In A Row & A Little Blog Candy!! – Stampin’ Up!

When I saw the CAS(E) this Sketch #72, I had a ton of different ideas fly through my head.  But I finally settled on using the Petite Petals stamp and matching punch from Stampin’ Up! to make a card with lots of little flowers all in rows.  The colors for my card were inspired by The Paper Players #191.

I started by stamping the flower images from the Petite Petals stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana inks.  Then I punched them out with the matching Petite Petals Punch.

You can purchase the Petite Petals stamp set and Petite Petals Punch in a bundle and save 15% (wood mount and clear mount).

I punched out nine squares from Always Artichoke card stock with the 1″ Square Punch and adhered them with SNAIL to 1-1/8″ squares from Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral card stock that I’d cut with my Stampin’ Trimmer.

Then I adhered the layered squares with SNAIL to a Whisper White panel.  I didn’t use any special technique to line them up, just started with the two squares in the upper right and left corners and filled in the rows from there.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Day stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Calypso coral ink on the Whisper White panel, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock with SNAIL, then to the Calypso Coral card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the little flower punches to the card front with Stampin Dimensionals then added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of each of the Calypso Coral flowers and a Calypso Coral Candy Dot from the Subtles Candy Dots pack to the center of the Coastal Cabana flower.  I also flipped the Coastal Cabana flower the opposite direction to make it stand out a little more.

I stamped the flower images from the Petite Petals stamp set on a Whisper White panel in Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral inks, then adhered the panel to a Coastal Cabana card stock panel to complete the inside of the card.

A Little Blog Candy…

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a blog candy giveaway so I thought that I’d offer up a few goodies!!  One lucky person will be drawn to win this blog candy package:  Sassy Salutations stamp set (wood mount), Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons and a spool of Basic Black 1/2″ Scallop Dot Ribbon (retired).

With the retirement list being posted on Monday, I thought it would be fun to talk about which stamp sets we’ll miss the most from the big catalog if they retire.  The stamp set that I think that I would miss the most would be Wetlands, I love that you can make great masculine and feminine cards with it…and those little beach birds are one of my favorite images ever!!

So, to be entered to win the blog candy package above, simply leave me a comment on this blog post by Saturday, April 19 telling me which stamp set that you will miss the most from the Stampin’ Up! 2013-14 Annual Catalog if it retires.  I’ll choose a random comment from all of the comments left and post the winner in my Sunday morning blog post.  Please note, anyone can leave me a comment but I’m only able to ship the blog candy items to addresses within the United States.  Thanks for your understanding.
