This new Cupcake Party stamp set from Stampin’ Up! is so cute!  I love this sentiment, it fits for a birthday or for one of those cupcake kind of days.  I seem to have those a lot.  🙂

My card design was inspired by Retrosketches #118.

I started by embossing a panel of Strawberry Slush card stock with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I adhered a panel of Confetti Celebration DSP with SNAIL to the lower section of the Strawberry Slush card stock.  Then I embossed a strip of Bermuda Bay card stock with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and I adhered that to the panel as well.

I wrapped a piece of Strawberry Slush Thick Baker’s Twine around the panel twice and tied a bow.  I adhered the panel to a Crushed Curry panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then adhered the layered panel with SNAIL to a Bermuda Bay card base.

Next, I colored the sentiment from the Cupcake Party stamp set with my Bermuda Bay and Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it on a Whisper White panel.  I adhered the panel to a strip of Strawberry Slush card stock with SNAIL, punched both ends with the Hexagon Punch and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the little cupcake images from the Cupcake Party stamp set in Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush inks on a Whisper White panel, punched them out with the Cupcake Builder Punch and adhered them with SNAIL to the card front.  I added a few Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush sequins from the 2013-15 In Color Sequin Assortment, using a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them.

I stamped a quick cupcake on a Whisper White panel inside the card to complete it.
