Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies With Letterpress Winter – Stampin’ Up!

Making flip cards with the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies from Stampin’ Up! is so easy!  I used the die set and the Letterpress Winter photopolymer stamp set to create my card to share today.  One of the things that I really love about this card is that it’s thin enough that it can be mailed with just one postage stamp!

My card design was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 234.

I put together a quick tutorial for how I created the card base.  You can see it here on my Tutorials page.  This idea came from Sandi MacIver, who made a card last fall that featured an extended panel using the Circle Card Thinlits Die.  You can see her card here and she has a video showing how she created her card.

Once I had the card base created and the strips of DSP cut around the snowflake, I stamped the snowflake image from the Letterpress Winter photopolymer stamp set in Lost Lagoon over the flipped snowflake.  I actually stamped the image on both sides of the card, but if you only want it to show when the card is close, you do need place the card face down and stamp the snowflake image that way.

I cut a panel of Silver Foil Sheets and Lost Lagoon card stock with the dies from the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies set (be sure to place wax paper between your die and card stock so that you can easily remove the die cuts) and adhered them to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Endless Wishes photopolymer stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink on a panel of the All Is Calm DSP, then adhered that panel to the card front with SNAIL.  I also added three of the large sequins from the Frosted Sequins pack to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them.

I added a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card and stamped the snowflake images from the Letterpress Winter stamp set in Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky inks inside the card.
