Stampin’ Up! Santa Stache for Stamping and Blogging

I used the Santa Stache stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging sketch this week.  Once you check out my project, be sure to stop by the other design team members blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.

My card design was inspired by the Stamping and Blogging SB80 sketch.

I started by adhering a panel of Trim the Tree DSP to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then to a Garden Green card base with SNAIL.  I stamped the sentiment from the Santa Stache stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock, adhered it to a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the Santa image from the Santa Stache stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then colored the hat with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers and the face with Skin Tone Assortment (specifically Ivory and Blush) Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers.  I punched the corners with the Project Life Corner Punch, then added a little bit of Dazzling Details glitter glue to Santa’s hat and beard.

I stamped the Santa Stache image a second time in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, cut the mustache out with the Mustache Framelits die and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the first Santa image.  I also added Dazzling Details to the mustache image.  Once the Dazzling Details were all dry, I adhered the image with SNAIL to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock that I’d punched with the Project Life Corner Punch, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered some of the snowflakes from the Frosted Sequins pack to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I also added some random Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  I finished the card front by tying Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine through a Cherry Cobbler button from the Regals Designer Buttons pack, then adhering the button to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Santa Stache stamp set on a Whisper White panel inside the card, then adhered a strip of the leftover Trim the Tree DSP.

Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Member’s blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.
