Stampin’ Up! Letterpress Winter Thank You

It’s never too early to start on those holiday thank you notes!  I used the Letterpress Winter stamp set and the Snowflake Card Thinlits Die set to create a thank you card to share today.

My card design was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 244.

I started by stamping the snowflake image from the Letterpress Winter photopolymer stamp set on a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock in VersaMark Ink, sprinkling it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossing it.

I stamped the smaller snowflake images from the Letterpress Winter stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on that same panel.  Then I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel with SNAIL to a panel cut from the Trim The Tree DSP Stack and I trimmed off the excess from the stamped panel (this makes sure that my edges line up correctly).

I adhered the layered DSP panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then to a Coastal Cabana card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut the snowflakes out with the two dies from the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies set.  I cut the larger snowflake from Sahara Sand card stock and the two smaller snowflakes from Coastal Cabana and Whisper White card stock.  I adhered the snowflakes to the card front with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

**Quick Tip for the thin dies:  Be sure to put a sheet of wax paper between your die and the card stock before you run it through the Big Shot.  That will allow your die cuts to pop right out without ripping them.

I inked up the “thank” part of the sentiment from the Letterpress Winter stamp set in Sahara Sand ink and I stamped it on a strip of Whisper White card stock.  Then I inked up the “you” part of the sentiment and I stamped it next on the Whisper White strip.  I adhered the sentiment to a strip of Sahara Sand card stock with SNAIL, punched the end with the Hexagon Punch to create the banner, then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I colored some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my the Dark Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker and adhered them to the centers of the snowflakes to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of the leftover Trim the Tree DSP panel to a Whisper White panel inside the card.
