I used the new Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Build a Birthday to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging sketch challenge this week.  Stamping and Blogging has launched a new sketch challenge blog where you can link up your fantastic creations and play along each week!!  Click here to head over to the new Sketch and Stamp blog to check out the details and be sure to click the links below to see what the other Design Team Members have created with this sketch.

Here is this weeks sketch, SB104:

I started by adhering a panel from the Cherry on Top DSP Stack to a panel of Cucumber Crush card stock with SNAIL, then to a Watermelon Wonder card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the images from the Build a Birthday photopolymer stamp set in Tip Top Taupe, Bermuda Bay, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder and Crushed Curry inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I used my Paper Snips to cut a banner end in the panel, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Cucumber Crush card stock with SNAIL.  I cut a banner end in the Cucumber Crush panel with my Paper Snips, then adhered the layered banner to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Build a Birthday stamp set in Watermelon Wonder ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock.  I adhered the stamped sentiment to a strip of Watermelon Wonder card stock with SNAIL, then punched the banner end with the Banner Triple Punch.  I adhered the sentiment strip to the card front with SNAIL.

I cut a small piece from the Tip Top Taupe 1″ Dotted Lace Trim, then looped a strand of Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine around it.  I pulled the Baker’s Twine through a Bermuda Bay button from the Brights Designer Buttons pack and tied a little bow.  I adhered the layered embellishment to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I punched a strip of DSP from the Cherry on Top DSP Stack with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered it to a Whisper White panel inside the card.
