Stampin’ Up! The Wilderness Awaits for The Paper Players

I used the new stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called The Wilderness Awaits to create my card for The Paper Players theme challenge this week.  It was the first set that I thought of when I saw the “Great Outdoors”.  🙂

Be sure to stop by The Paper Players blog to check out the awesome projects created by the other Design Team Members.  And be sure to play along too!  🙂

The layout for my card was inspired by Mojo Monday #404.

I started by adhering a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL, then to a Sahara Sand card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered a panel of Sahara Sand DSP from the Neutrals DSP Stack to a panel of Early Espresso card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sheltering Tree photopolymer stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock.  Then I inked up the image from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink, stamped it off on scrap paper and stamped it across the sentiment panel two times without reinking.  I repeated that process randomly across the panel, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock and to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the image of the mallard from The Wilderness Awaits stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Sahara Sand card stock.  I used the fine tip end of my Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Markers to add a few details of color to the bird, the I added just a bit of white ink around the neck with the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker and a few more lines of Early Espresso ink to the underside of the duck with my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker.

I cut the mallard image out with one of the Circles Collection Framelits dies and adhered it with SNAIL to a 2-1/2″ Circle Punch from Early Espresso card stock.  I adhered the layered image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the duck image from The Wilderness Awaits stamp set in Early Espresso ink, stamped it on scrap paper once, then on a Whisper White panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock, then to the inside of the card.
