Stampin’ Up! Thankful Forest Friends for The Paper Players

I used the Stampin’ Up! Thankful Forest Friends stamp set to create my card for The Paper Players sketch challenge this week.

Be sure to stop by The Paper Players blog to check out the awesome projects created by the other Design Team Members.  And be sure to play along too!  🙂  Here is the sketch for PP264:

The theme for my card was inspired by The Card Concept 40.  I’d say that my card is clean and layered.

I started by adhering a panel from the Into the Woods DSP pack to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL, then to a Rich Razzleberry card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered a smaller panel from the Into the Woods DSP pack to a smaller panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL, then adhered a row of scallops that I’d cut from Rich Razzleberry card stock with one of the dies from the Cutie Pie Thinlits Dies set to the back of the Soft Suede panel with SNAIL.

I adhered the layered panel to the card front with SNAIL, then adhered a strip of the 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon across the front of the card with Fast Fuse Adhesive.  I colored part of the sentiment image from the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set with my Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on the top of a Whisper White panel.

I stamped the bear image from the Forest Friends stamp set in Early Espresso ink and again in Soft Suede ink on a separate panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut them both out with my Paper Snips and adhered one with SNAIL and the other with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Whisper White panel.  I colored part of the sentiment image from the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set again with my Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it under the bears on the Whisper White panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Cottage Greetings stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the Whisper White panel, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then pulled a strand of Linen Thread through a Rich Razzleberry button from the Brights Designer Buttons pack, tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot to the card front.

I stamped that cute little bear image from the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set in Soft Suede ink again on a Whisper White panel inside the card.
