Stampin’ Up! Jolly Christmas for Totally Techniques

I used the Stampin’ Up! Jolly Christmas stamp set to create my card for the monthly Totally Techniques blog hop.  This month we’re focusing on sponging  and here is my card:

The layout for my card was inspired by Can You Case It #92.

I started by randomly stamping the snowflake images from the Jolly Christmas stamp set in Night of Navy ink on the front of a Night of Navy card base.

I stamped the deer image from the Jolly Christmas stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I let the image cool completely, then stamped the small snowflake image randomly around the deer in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled them with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.

I sponged Night of Navy ink over the deer and snowflake images, then used a paper towel to wipe away the excess ink from the embossed areas.  I adhered the stamped panel to a Night of Navy card stock panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then to a panel of Gold Foil Sheets and to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Jolly Christmas stamp set in VersaMark ink under the Gold Foil Sheet on the Night of Navy card base, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I pressed one of the Winter Wonderland Embellishments into my VersaMark Ink pad a few times, then poured Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on it and quickly heat embossed it (the rhinestones in the center melt a bit, so you want to only heat it as much as is needed to melt the powder).  I let the embellishment cool completely, then adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Pines stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a Whisper White panel, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I inked the snowflake images from the Jolly Christmas stamp set in Night of Navy ink, stamped them on scrap paper twice, then stamped them around the sentiment to finish the inside of the card.
