Stampin’ Up! Basket of Wishes for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving!  As you read this, I’m sure that you’re all preparing for your feasts.  Our house is filled with smells like pumpkin pie, prime rib and cheesy potatoes.  Looking forward to sharing the feast with our families!

I used the Stampin’ Up! Basket of Wishes stamp set to create a Christmas card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and here is the card that I created for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week.

The thankful theme for my card was inspired by CAS-ual Fridays CFC161.

The Thanksgiving theme for my card was also inspired by The Card Concept #62.  My card is clean and layered.

I started by adhering a panel from the Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP pack to a panel of Cajun Craze card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered a smaller panel of the Petals & Paisleys DSP to a smaller panel of Cajun Craze card stock and then to the larger panel with SNAIL.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the layered panel and tied a bow.  I adhered the layered panel to a Cajun Craze card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the basket images from the Basket of Wishes photopolymer stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of Watercolor card stock and then used Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron and Soft Suede inks and an Aqua Painter to watercolor it.

I cut the basket out with a Layering Circles Framelits die and adhered it to a scalloped circle that I’d cut from Cajun Craze card stock with another Layering Circles Framelits die.  I adhered the two circles together with Fast Fuse Adhesive and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink on a panel of watercolor paper and cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die.  To make the die cut a rectangular shape, I slide the die down closer to the top of the sentiment, lined up the stitched notches and ran it through the Big Shot a second time.

I adhered the sentiment die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish it.

I inked the images from the Basket of Wishes stamp set in Soft Suede and Cajun Craze inks, stamped them on scrap paper and then stamped them on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.
