Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature for Stamp Ink Paper

I used the Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature stamp set bundle and Special Celebrations stamp set to create my card for the Stamp Ink Paper tic-tac-toe challenge this week.

Here is the tic-tac-toe graphic for Stamp Ink Paper #153.  I went down the left side.  Hope that you’ll stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

My card also works for Just Us Girls #443.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Special Celebrations stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack.  I adhered the stamped panel to another panel from that stamp DSP Stack with SNAIL and then to a Mossy Meadow card stock panel with SNAIL.

I used my Stamparatus to ink the tree from the Rooted in Nature stamp set.  I inked the top of the tree in Mint Macaron ink and the bottom of the tree in Soft Suede ink initially and I stamped them on a panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock.  I used a Sponge Dauber to add Shaded Spruce ink and then Mossy Meadow ink to different areas of the tree to give it a little variation in color.  Since I’d used my Stamparatus, I was able to add ink with the Sponge Daubers in various places and re-stamp the image over and over.  I cut the tree image out with the coordinating Nature’s Roots Framelits Die.

I cut a small piece of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and pulled the string that holds the larger strands together off from about half of the ribbon length.  I adhered the piece of ribbon to the DSP panel with Glue Dots and then adhered the die cut tree image over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added one of the Leaves Trinkets with a rolled up Glue Dot next to the sentiment and then adhered the layered panel to a Soft Suede card base to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Special Celebrations stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.  Then I inked the leaf image from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in Mint Macaron ink and used a Sponge Dauber to add Shaded Spruce and Mossy Meadow inks before stamping it next to the sentiment.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, used to create this card at the very bottom of this blog post.
