I used the Stampin’ Up! Turtle Friends stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.
Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:
I started by adhering a panel of You’re A Peach DSP to the front of a Pear Pizzazz card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I embossed a panel of So Saffron card stock with the dot embossing folder from the Checks & Dots Embossing Folders. I adhered the embossed panel to a slightly larger panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.
I cut a circle from Basic White card stock with one of the circle dies from the Layering Circles Dies and then stamped the grass image from the Turtle Friends photopolymer stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink across half the die cut. I adhered the circle die cut to a scalloped circle cut from Pear Pizzazz card stock with one of the scalloped circle dies from the Layering Circles Dies and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.
I stamped the turtle outline image from the Turtle Friends stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock. I stamped the shell image in Pear Pizzazz ink and then colored the rest of the turtle with So Saffron and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers. I punched the turtle image out with the coordinating Turtle Punch and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.
I stamped the sentiment from the Turtle Friends stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut it out with one of the openings in the Messages Die. I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three Loose Flower Flourishes with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to finish the card front.
I stamped the turtle outline image, sentiment and hat from the Turtle Friends stamp set in Pear Pizzazz, Evening Evergreen and Polished Pink inks on a panel of Basic White card stock and then added a strip of the You’re A Peach DSP to finish the inside of the card.
