Window Frame Gift Box

Patterned Occasions

Here are the products that you will need to create this box:

This box is really quick and simple to put together.  Start with a piece of card stock cut to 6-3/4″ x 9-3/4″.  Draw score lines at 4-1/4″ and 5-1/2″ on the 9.75″ length.  Draw score lines at 1-1/4″ and 5-1/2″ on the 6-3/4″ length.

Then cut the score lines on the the 9-3/4″ length starting on the outside and snip to the crossing score line.

Cut a piece of card stock to 4″ x 4″ and cut the center out with a Window Frame Framelit Die.  I use blue painters tap to hold the dies in place while I run them through the Big Shot.

Place your die cut image over the top half of your box and mark with a pencil the widest points.

Remove the die cut image and use your Stampin’ Trimmer to cut a square just outside the pencil marks and remove the square.

Cut a piece of Window Sheet to 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and adhere it to the Window Frame die cut panel with Sticky Strip.

Then adhere the die cut window to the front of your card box with Stick Strip making sure that you’ve got it centered over your square cut out.

Then place the box face up and apply Sticky Strip to the areas marked in the photo below with the words “adhesive”, the two small tabs and to the lower outer portions of the box (see photo).

Before you peel the backing off the Sticky Strip, make sure that you’ve pre-folded all of your score lines.  Then remove the backing from the two small tabs, fold the back of the box up and adhere the tabs to the back of the box.

Then peel the backing off of the back of the box, fold the front of the box over it and adhered the sides together.

Your box is complete and you can decorate and embellish it as much or as little as you want to.  I made a group of cards to fill the box, but you could also fill it with candy or a small gift.  The box measures 4-1/4″ wide x 4-1/4″ tall x 1-1/4″ wide when assembled.
