Stampin’ Up! Penned & Painted for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Penned & Painted stamp set to create my cards for the Happy Stampers blog hop. We’ve got a color challenge this week and since I wanted to soften the colors a bit, I pulled out my Aqua Painter and did a little watercoloring.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

I started by stamping the flower and leaf images from the Penned & Painted photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on the upper and lower corners of a panel of watercolor paper. I sprinkled them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.

I wet the entire panel with plain water using my Aqua Painter, then added just a little bit of Cucumber Crush ink to create a watercolor wash background. I painted the flowers with my Aqua Painter and Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Cucumber Crush inks then set the panel aside to dry completely.

In the mean time, I decided that I liked the panel enough to create a second card with a different sentiment! 🙂

Once the panels were dry, I stamped the sentiments form the Balloon Celebration photopolymer stamp set and the Blooms & Wishes photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on the panels, sprinkled them with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.

I adhered the stamped panels to panels of Cucumber Crush card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive and then to Flirty Flamingo card bases with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment on one card and an enamel dot from the 2016-2018 Enamel Shapes pack next to the other.

I stamped the flower an leaf images from the Penned & Painted stamp set in Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Cucumber Crush inks on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.
