Stampin’ Up! Honey Bee Sweet Friend Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Honey Bee stamp set bundle to create a friend card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making this card on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!  I did have a little coloring booboo on my video…you can check it out to see my big goof! 🙂

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch 368.

I started by coloring every other stripe on a panel of Botanical Prints DSP (exclusively in the Botanical Prints Product Medley) with a Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Marker.  Then I adhered the DSP panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut a panel of Pineapple Punch card stock with the honeycomb die from the Detailed Bee Dies and I adhered it with a small amount of SNAIL (hidden by the sentiment panel).

I cut three squares from Whisper White card stock with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies and I adhered the die cut squares with SNAIL to the card front.  I stamped the smaller bee image from the Honey Bee stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock three times and then colored the bee bodies with Light and Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the bees out with the coordinating Detailed Bee Dies and then adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I also brushed a little Wink of Stella over the wings of the bees.

I stamped the sentiment from the Honey Bee stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on one of the banners from the Botanical Prints Product Medley and then adhered the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added three Pineapple Punch dots around the sentiment from the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the bee image from the Honey Bee stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored the bodies with Light and Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Markers to finish the inside of the card.
