Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon stamp set to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by cutting a panel of New Horizons 6″ x 6″ DSP with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  Then I stamped the bird image from the On The Horizon stamp set in Early Espresso ink on the die cut rectangle.  I adhered the “negative” DSP panel to the front of the Evening Evergreen card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered the die cut rectangle to a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut a panel of In Good Taste DSP with Horizon Dies and then adhered the die cuts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card front.

I tied a bow from Evening Evergreen twine from the Fan Baker’s Twine pack and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot to the card front.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the On The Horizon stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  I inked the wood plank image from the On The Horizon stamp set in Crumb Cake ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the sentiment image.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added one of the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to the sentiment panel to finish the card front.

I inked the wood planks image from the On The Horizon stamp set in Crumb Cake ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it twice on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
