I used the Stampin’ Up! Nuts About Squirrels stamp set to create a birthday card to share with you today. I also did a video tutorial for this card and you can see it on YouTube here.
I started by adhering a panel of Gingham Cottage DSP to the front of a Smoky Slate card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I cut another panel of Gingham Cottage DSP with one of the Border Basics Dies and I adhered it with Stampin’ Seal to the card front.
I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then stamped the images from the Nuts About Squirrels photopolymer stamp set in Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie inks on the die cut panel. I used one of the Blending Brushes to add Balmy Blue ink around the edges of the panel. Then I adhered the die cut panel to a panel of Smoky Slate card stock with Stampin’ Seal and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of So Saffron card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. I adhered two of the Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to finish the card front.
I stamped the sentiment and squirrel images from the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set in Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede inks on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
