Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Way Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Way stamp set and Dies to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a theme challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here is the theme that we’re using this week:

I started by stamping the grass images from the Lighting The Way photopolymer stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green inks (some stamped without reinking) across a panel of Basic White card stock.  Then I used a Blending Brush to apply Starry Sky ink around the edge of the panel.

Then I stamped the large circle image from the Lighting The Way stamp set in Lemon Lolly ink in the center of the Basic White panel and used a Small Blending Brush to apply Lemon Lolly ink around the stamped image.  Then I stamped the two lightening bug images from the Lighting The Way stamp set in VersaMark ink, sprinkled them with gold embossing powders from the Metallics Embossing Powders and heat embossed it.  I stamped the small dot image over the lightening bugs in Lemon Lolly ink on the Basic White panel.

I inked the trail image from the Lighting The Way stamp set in Starry Sky ink, stamped it twice on scrap paper and then stamped it near the lightening bug images.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Starry Sky card stock with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered the layered panel to the Starry Sky card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a panel of Rose Gold Specialty Paper with the lantern die from the Lighting The Way Dies and adhered it to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Lighting The Way stamp set in VersaMark ink on a strip of Starry Sky card stock, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and then heat embossed it.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three gold sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to finish the card front.

I stamped the images from the Lighting The Way stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Starry Sky and Lemon Lolly inks on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
