Stampin’ Up! More Messages Birthday Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! More Messages stamp set bundle from the upcoming Online Exclusives to create a quick birthday card to share with you today.  I also made this card out on my Instagram account this morning and you can find it here.

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #08.

My card design was also inspired by Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC269. I went straight across the middle.

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Floral Impressions DSP (Online Exclusive item available May 6) to the front of a Garden Green card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ square of Pecan Pie card stock in half from point to point creating two triangles.

I placed the Pecan Pie triangle on the back of another panel of Floral Impressions DSP and I traced the triangle.  I cut the DSP along the lines and then adhered the DSP to the Pecan Pie triangle with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and then trimmed the tiny overhang from the Pecan Pie triangle even with the edges of the card base.

I stamped the image from the More Messages stamp set (Online Exclusive item available May 6) in VersaMark ink on a panel of Pecan Pie card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with the coordinating More Messages Die (Online Exclusive item available May 6) and then adhered it with Mini Glue Dots to the card front.  I added two Pecan Pie dots from the Neutral Matte Dots (Online Exclusive item) to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the More Messages stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut around it with the More Messages Die.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and a strip of the Floral Impressions DSP with Stampin’ Seal to finish the inside of the card.
