Stampin’ Up! Words & Wishes Double Z-Fold Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Words & Wishes stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a theme challenge this week and this is what I made for it.  My card design was inspired by a pretty card that Akiko Sudano made awhile back, you can find it right here.

Here is the theme that we’re all using this week:

I started by scoring a Pool Party card base at 2-3/4″ and again at 5-1/2″.  Then I adhered panels of patterned paper from the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP to the left, middle and right areas of the Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Seal.

Then I scored a 2-1/4″ x 10″ panel of Pool Party card stock at 3″ and again at 5-3/4″.  I adhered panels of Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP to the left and middle section of the panel with Stampin’ Seal.  I stamped the sentiment from the Words & Wishes stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then adhered the stamped panel to the right side of the scored panel with Stampin’ Seal.

I adhered another panel of Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP to the right side of the Basic White panel with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered the 10″ panel to the card base with Stampin’ Seal.

I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with one of the Spotlight On Nature Dies and then adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  I applied Adhesive Sheets to the back of a panel of Pretty Peacock card stock and then cut the “happy” sentiment from the Words & Wishes Dies.  I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with the outline “happy” sentiment with one of the Words & Wishes Dies and then adhered the die cuts together with the Adhesive Sheets.  I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Words & Wishes stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a panel of Pool Party card stock and then cut around it with the banner die from the Words & Wishes Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Seal to the card front.  I stamped the cake and present images from the Words & Wishes stamp set in Flirty Flamingo and Pretty Peacock inks on Basic White card stock.  I colored the images with Light and Dark Pool Party, Lemon Lolly and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Markers and then cut the images out with the coordinating Words & Wishes Dies.

I adhered the die cuts to the card front with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered three Pretty Peacock dots from the Array Of Dots to finish the card front.
