Stampin’ Up! Playing In The Rain Gatefold Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Playing In The Rain stamp set bundle to create a fun gatefold card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 630.

My card also works for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC194.  I went straight across the bottom row.

I started by scoring the Balmy Blue card base at 2-1/8″ x and again at 6-3/8″.  Then I adhered panels of Rain Or Shine Specialty DSP to panels of Flirty Flamingo card stock and then to the right and left sides of the card base with Stampin’ Seal.

I wrapped a 2″ x 10″ panel of Rain Or Shine DSP around the card base and then adhered the ends of the panel together in the center with Stampin’ Seal.  The belly band was secured so that it fits loosely around the base for easy removal of the band.  I cut a panel of Rain Or Shine DSP with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and a panel of Balmy Blue card stock with one of the Layering Circles Dies.  I adhered the die cuts together with Stampin’ Seal and then to the belly band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a panel of Rain Or Shine DSP with one of the coordinating Playing In The Rain Dies and then I adhered the die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the belly band.  I stamped the sentiment from the Playing In The Rain stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut around it with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Stampin’ Seal to the card front.

I added two of the Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots to the belly band to finish the card front.

I cut another image from the Rain Or Shine DSP with one of the Playing In The Rain Dies and I adhered it to a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
