I used one of the fun new kid stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! called Hey, Girl to create my card to share today.

Hey, Girl - Stamp With Amy K

My card design is loosely based on Retrosketches #169.

I started by punching the corners on a panel of Blushing Bride DSP from the Subtles DSP Stack with the Project Life Corner Punch. I adhered the DSP panel with SNAIL to a panel of Whisper White card stock that I’d also punched with the Project Life Corner Punch.

I wrapped a strand of the Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine around the DSP panel, tied a little bow, then adhered the panel to a So Saffron card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the images and sentiment from the Hey, Girl photopolymer stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I colored the hair with my So Saffron Stampin’ Write Marker, the lips with my Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker and the eyes with my Soft Sky Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used a flesh tone colored pencil (from a Crayola set that I have) to color the skin, then I stamped the dress, bow and shoe images from the Hey, Girl stamp set on a panel of Calypso Coral DSP and the balloon image on a panel of Blushing Bride DSP from the Subtles DSP Stack. I snipped around the stamped images and adhered them with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the Whisper White stamped panel, then punch the two corners with the Project Life Corner Punch.

I punched a banner from Soft Sky DSP from the Subtles DSP Stack with the Banner Punch and I adhered it with SNAIL to the stamped panel. I adhered the stamped panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added a Calypso Coral Candy Dot from the Subtles Candy Dots pack to finish the card front.

Hey, Girl 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the “you” sentiment from the Hey, Girl stamp set and the “happy birthday” sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and I added the “!” with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. I stamped the balloon images in Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Blushing Bride around the sentiments to finish the inside of the card.
