Stampin’ Up! Home to Roost Just a Note

I used the Home to Roost stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-bration brochure to create a clean and simple card to share with you today.

One quick note before I jump into the card details…I’ll be doing my Lunchtime Live video on Facebook today at 12:00 noon ET so stop by my Facebook page then to say “hi”.  If you can’t make it for the live, stop by later to view the video!  🙂

My card design is loosely based on My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 420.

I started by using the Stamparatus to stamp the grass image from the Home to Roost stamp set in Soft Suede ink across a panel from the Wood Textures DSP.  The image is the perfect width to use the hinge-step method!  I adhered the DSP panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim around the panel twice and tied a bow before adhering the panel to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the rooster image from the Home to Roost stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Sahara Sand card stock using the Stamparatus and then colored it with the Light and Dark Mango Melody, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Home to Roost stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Crushed Curry card stock with the Stamparatus and then punched it out with the Classic Label Punch.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three gold pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the grass image from the Home to Roost stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Sahara Sand card stock to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

And then used the kit pieces to create 12 valentine note cards!
