Stampin’ Up! Detailed With Love CAS Birthday Cards

I used the Stampin’ Up! Detailed With Love stamp set and the pretty Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper and matching Note Cards & Envelopes to create two quick birthday cards to share with you today.

The design for the card on the left was loosely inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #269.

I started by cutting up one of the sheets from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper (available June 1).  One of the papers in this pack is designed to be cut up and used to decorate the front of note cards and the paper is white on one side and vanilla on the other, so it will coordinate with almost anything!  🙂

I snipped the center out of this piece of the paper and then adhered it to the front of one of the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes (available June 1) with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added the sentiment from the Detailed With Love stamp set (available June 1) that had been cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die over the top of a piece of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon (available June 1).

I added a little Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz ink with a Sponge Dauber to a small part of what I’d snipped from the center of the paper panel, then adhered it with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added one of the Faceted Dots (available June 1) to finish the card front.

I kept the inside simple by just stamping the sentiment from the Detailed With Love stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink on the inside of the note card.

For this card, I used a different one of the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes for the backdrop and a different piece from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper for the overlay.  I trimmed this piece just a little smaller than the other one so there was a slight “frame” around it.  The ribbon and burlap were adhered with Glue Dots and the sentiment ovals with Stampin’ Dimensionals on both cards.

I had a little oopsie on the inside of this card where I smudged the ink when I stamped the sentiment…but it was easy to fix with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die cut layer adhered over the top!
