Stampin’ Up! Feathered Flight Thinking Of You Card

I used the Feathered Flight stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives to create a quick thinking of you card to share today.  I made this project out on Instagram this morning and you can see it here.

Stampin' Up! Feathered Flight Thinking Of You Card

My card design was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #428.

I started by adhering a panel of Softly Stippled DSP (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 4) to the front of a Wild Wheat card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I stamped the duck image from the Feathered Flight stamp set (Online Exclusive item) in Pebbled Path ink across another panel of the Softly Stippled DSP.  I adhered the DSP panel to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I inked the water image from the Feathered Flight stamp set with a Sponge Dauber and Balmy Blue ink.  I colored the rocks and grass with Pebbled Path and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers and then stamped it on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I inked the duck image from the Feathered Flight stamp set with Sponge Daubers and Pecan Pie and Pebbled Path inks.  I colored the head and bill with Garden Green and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Markers and then stamped the image on the Basic White card stock panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Feathered Flight stamp set in Pebbled Path ink on the Basic White panel and then cut around the images with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I adhered the die cut image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added two Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of Softly Stippled DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Oh my goodness, Amy…there are so many sets I didn’t want until I saw what you and Mary have made. I might have to stop watching the two of you said Karen never! LOL! See you at 2 for some watermelon, which I don’t like either 😉

  2. Well, dang, I guess I AM getting this one after all, lol. You always do that to me! Love that duck – he’s PERFECTLY colored! Thanks so much for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

  4. Amy, a very lovely card. Works so well for a fellow. The touch of color against the chosen DSP backgrounds is great. Thanks for sharing this card with us at HSS this round. Cheers, Jolanda – DT
