Stampin’ Up! Ice Cream Swirl Birthday Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Ice Cream Swirl stamp set bundle to create a fun birthday card to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial for this card and you can see it on YouTube here.

I’ll be heading out to Houston, TX very early tomorrow morning for the annual Stampin’ Up! OnStage event!  I’ll be meeting up with 21 of my team members for a fun weekend of stamping and lots of peeks at the upcoming 2024-2025 Annual Catalog products!  I can’t wait!!  I’m planning to share pictures from the event in the coming days, so keep an eye on my blog and social media sites (you can find all of my links here) to see what we’re up to!

Stampin' Up! Ice Cream Swirl Birthday Card

My card design was inspired by TGIF Challenges 463.

I started by adhering a panel of Lighter Than Air 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of the Lost Lagoon card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered another panel of Lighter Than Air DSP to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the ice cream image from the Ice Cream Swirl photopolymer stamp set in Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath inks on coordinating panels of Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath card stocks.  I cut the images out with the Ice Cream Swirl Dies.  I cut a panel of Crumb Cake card stock two times with the cone dies from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies.  I snipped off the tops of the cones and then adhered the bottom cone with Mini Glue Dots to the card front.  I adhered the Lemon Lolly die cut with Mini Glue Dots and then added the second cone and Bubble Bath ice cream die cuts with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I applied small pieces of Adhesive Sheets to the back of the Lost Lagoon paper from the Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper and then cut the panel with one of the Wanted To Say Dies.  I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with another one of the Wanted To Say Dies and then adhered the die cuts together with the Adhesive Sheets.  I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.  Then I colored six Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends Markers and adhered them to the card front to finish the card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then added a strip of Lighter Than Air DSP to finish the inside of the card.
