Stampin’ Up! Potions & Spells Halloween Card for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Potions & Spells stamp set bundle to create a fun Halloween card for the Sunday Stamp color challenge this week.

Here are the colors for Sunday Stamps SSC345.  Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

I started by adhering a panel patterned paper from the Winter Meadow DSP (Online Exclusive item) to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I stamped the bubbles and sentiment from the Potions & Spells stamp set (Online Exclusive item) on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the bubbles with Light and Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Then I used a Blending Brush to apply Pretty Peacock ink to the Basic White panel.

I adhered the inked panel to a panel of Pretty Peacock card stock with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I stamped the cauldron image from the Potions & Spells stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Basic Black card stock, sprinkled it with black embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder and heat embossed it.  I cut the cauldron image out with the coordinating die from the Potions & Spells Dies (Online Exclusive item, restocking around October 7) and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I cut panels of Three Color Glimmer Specialty Paper (Online Exclusive item), Graceful Greenery Specialty Designer Series Paper (Online Exclusive item), Pecan Pie card stock and Berry Burst, Old Olive and White Glimmer Specialty Paper (Online Exclusive item) with the dies from the Potions & Spells Dies.  I colored the broom die cut with the Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Maker and then wrapped a strand of black twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack around the broom stock and tied a bow.  Then I adhered the die cut pieces to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
