By the Seashore Birthday Card

Sandi is in Utah this week at the Stampin’ Up! Founders Circle event for the top 100 Demonstrators (big congratulations to her!!) so we’re taking the week off from doing our holiday card share.  I decided to do something completely non-holiday…

I saw this cool sketch for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 280 and I pulled out two of my favorite stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create a card for it.  I used the By the Seashore and Wetlands stamp sets and some Core’dinations card stock to give my card a weathered beach feel.  Hope that I was successful!

By the Seashore

I started by stamping the sandpiper image from the Wetlands stamp set in Baked Brown Sugar ink across a Baked Brown Sugar Core’dinations card stock panel.  I also stamped the sentiment from the Wetlands stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on the Core’dinations panel.  Then I used my Stampin’ Sanding Block and I sanded the edges and randomly in places across the center of the Core’dinations panel.

Next, I adhered the stamped Core’dinations panel to a panel of Pool Party card stock with SNAIL then to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I stamped the images from the By the Seashore stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on a Pool Party card stock panel and I punched them out with my 1″ Square Punch.  I adhered them with Stampin’ Dimensionals to 1-1/8″ squares that I’d cut from Bermuda Bay card stock and I adhered the layered squares to the card front with SNAIL.

Wetlands

I finished the inside of the card by stamping the sandpiper images in Baked Brown Sugar across a Pool Party card stock panel and I adhered the panel to the Bermuda Bay card base with SNAIL.
