I’ve got some Designer Series Paper gift bags to show with you today. I found a fabulous tutorial for these bags on Jessica Taylor’s blog here.
Jessica’s tutorial shows you how to put together a bag that is the size of the Gumball Green bag on the right. It measures about 6″ wide x 8″ tall x 3″ deep. I changed the score lines and the size of the cuts from the corners to make the larger Baja Breeze bag. I scored the paper 2″ from the three sides (rather then 3 inches like the tutorial shows) and created a bag that measures about 8″ wide x 9″ tall x 2″ wide. And I used two 6″ x 6″ squares of Real Red DSP to make the little bag. I scored the paper 1-1/2″ from the three sides and created a 3″ wide x 3-1/2″ Tall x 1-1/2″ deep bag. So you can really make the bags any size that you need. All that you need to do is start with a square piece of Designer Series Paper and score the edges to the depth that you need for your gift!
Here is the list of products that you will need to make these bags:
- Designer Series Paper (I used the DSP Stacks but you can use any paper that you like)
- Ribbon of your choice (I used Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Scallop Dots Ribbon and Whisper White 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon)
- Tags and embellishments of your choice (I used Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags and Delightful Decorations & Ornament Punch)
- Glue Dots and Stampin Dimensionals
Here are some closer views of the bags:
Stop back tomorrow, I’ll show you how I put the bows together! And don’t forget to check out my December Ordering Bonus on my Rewards page.
