Today I’m sharing a card that I made for the Freshly Made Sketches #78 Challenge. I used pieces from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit that can be found in the Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog (on page 18) to create this card. Here is the sketch:
And this is my card that was inspired by the sketch:
This card was super quick to put together. I started by cutting the Tea for Two DSP to 4″ x 5″ and I ran it through my Big Shot using the Adorning Accents Edgelits die to cut the very top off. Then I cut a strip of Very Vanilla card stock to 1″ x 4″ and I ran that through the Big Shot with the Adorning Accents Edgelits to cut it, then I ran it through again with the Adorning Accents Embossing Folder. I adhered the strip to the back of the DSP with SNAIL.
I cut a strip of Very Vanilla card stock to 1/2″ x 4″ and I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to run a score line straight across it at 1/8″ and I adhered it to the DSP panel. I placed a Designer Builder Brad through the DSP panel, then punched a small circle with my Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, adhered it with Sticky Strip to the center of the brad, then placed the self-adhesive epoxy bubble over it.
I stamped the sentiment (an exclusive stamp made just for the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit) on one of the embossed paper tags in Early Espresso ink. I adhered the tag to the DSP panel with SNAIL, then adhered the decorated panel to the card front with SNAIL. The flower is made by layering 10 of the precut paper flowers from the kit, piercing the center of the flowers with my Paper-Piercing Tool, then placing the fabric covered brad (also from the kit) through it. I scrunched up the flower petals, then adhered it to the card front with Glue Dots.
To finish the card, I adhered a panel of Very Vanilla card stock to the inside of the card with SNAIL, then adhered a 5/8″ strip of the Tea for Two DSP to the panel with SNAIL.
