Best of Flowers with Twitterpated DSP

Today I’m sharing a card that I made for the Retrosketches #56 Challenge.  I used the Best of Flowers stamp set, which is one of the Best of Collectors Series from Stampin’ Up!  To see all of the Best of stamp sets in my online store, click here.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

Best of Flowers

I started by embossing the Baja Breeze panel with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to the Riding Hood Red panel and then to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I pierced the edges of my Riding Hood Red strips with my Paper-Piercing Tool and the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, adhered the Twitterpated DSP strips to them, then adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.  I rolled my Whisper White Baker’s Twine over my Baja Breeze ink pad, then tied it through a Vintage Faceted Designer Button and I adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Best of Flowers 1

I stamped the Best of Flowers image on Whisper White card stock in StazOn Jet Black ink, colored it with my Stampin’ Write Markers and cut it out with the smallest Ovals Collection Framelits die.  I adhered it with SNAIL to a Riding Hood Red oval that I’d cut with the next size up Framelit and I pierced the edges using my Paper-Piercing Tool and the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack.  I adhered the layered ovals to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I punched two flowers from Basic Gray card stock using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punches Pack, adhered them to the card front with Glue Dots, then adhered a rhinestone to each center.

Best of Flowers 2

To finish the card, I added a panel of Whisper White card stock and a 5/8″ strip of Twitterpated DSP to the inside.
