All Dressed Up Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing a quick birthday card that I made for my niece.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Pop ‘n Cuts Card Base and Dress Form and the Dress Up Framelits dies to create this card.  Cutting and assembling with the Pop ‘n Cuts dies is so easy and so much fun!

Make a Wish

I started by cutting one solid card base from Very Vanilla card stock using my Big Shot and the Card Base Pop ‘n Cuts.  Then I ran the die through with the Dress Form Pop ‘n Cuts in place with a piece of Primrose Petals card stock.  I scored the Very Vanilla card base at 5-1/2″ and creased the folds on the Primrose Petals card stock, then adhered the two pieces together with SNAIL.

Make a Wish 1

I cut a Dress Up Framelits die cut from Print Poetry DSP and the dress stand (also from the Dress Up Framelits) from Early Espresso card stock.  I adhered them to the Primrose Petals base with SNAIL.  I added a strip of Primrose Petals Seam Binding Ribbon (from the Artisan Embellishments Kit) around the dress waist, adhered it with SNAIL and tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Then I colored the argyle pattern from the Patterned Party stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped the image on Very Vanilla card stock (using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement) and I adhered it to a strip of Gumball Green card stock, then to the card base with SNAIL.

Make a Wish 2

I stamped the banner image from the Patterned Party stamp set in Primrose Petals ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  Then I colored the sentiment from the Make a Wish stamp set and stamped it below the banner.  I trimmed the corners of the card stock with the 3/16″ Corner Punch and adhered it to a square of the Print Poetry DSP, then to the card base with SNAIL.

Make a Wish 3

I finished the card by coloring the sentiment with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamping it on Very Vanilla card stock, cutting it out with the Ovals Collection Framelits die, then adhering it to a Gumball Green oval die cut.  I adhered the layered ovals to a square of Print Poetry DSP, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I love that this card base has the slots so it holds itself closed so it’s very easy to mail.
