The design for my card share today was inspired by the Mojo Monday 289 Sketch.  I used products from Stampin’ Up’s new Epic Day This and That bundle, which is available at a 15% discount through April 30 (click here to see the Epic Day This and That products available in my online store).  I wanted to make a graduation card for my niece who will be graduating from college in a few weeks, but I didn’t want it to be too girly.  This is what I came up with:

I started by running a strip of Epic Day Washi Tap from corner to corner on a panel of Epic Day DSP.  I used my Paper-Piercing Tool to place 6 brads (three Crumb Cake and three Basic Gray) next to the Washi Tape and I adhered the panel to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I cut a strip of Epic Day DSP, adhered it to a strip of Crumb Cake card stock with SNAIL, then to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Feel Goods stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on Very Vanilla card stock, cut it out with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink.  I adhered the stamped oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals to an oval of Crumb Cake card stock that I’d embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, then I adhered the layered ovals to the card front with SNAIL.  I cut a hexagon from the Epic Day DSP (using my Stampin’ Trimmer to make sure that the cuts were straight) and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the graduation cap from the Pure Gumption stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Very Vanilla card stock and I trimmed down to 1/4″ smaller than the DSP hexagon, sponged the edges with Basic Gray ink and adhered it over the DSP with SNAIL.  I finished the card front by adhering two strips of Epic Day Washi Tape over the top section of the graduation cap image.

I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink and the graduation cap in Basic Gray ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock to finish the inside of the card.
