Sweets for the Sweet Pinwheel Card

Today I’m sharing a card that I made using the Sweets for the Sweet and Wishes Your Way stamp sets and the Pinwheel Sizzlits S Die from Stampin’ Up!  My card design was inspired by the Retrosketches #62 and the colors are from the Dynamic Duos #51 Color Challenge.

Wishes Your Way

I started by stamping the Sweets for the Sweet pinwheel images in Daffodil Delight and Baja Breeze (using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement) on a Whisper White panel.  I embossed the panel with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and I adhered it to a Baja Breeze panel with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I stamped the sentiment from the Wishes Your Way stamp set in Baja Breeze ink on Whisper White card stock and I adhered it to a strip of Baja Breeze card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered sentiment to a panel of Patio Party DSP.  I adhered the DSP to a panel of Baja Breeze with SNAIL, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I finished the card front by cutting a pinwheel with the Pinwheel Sizzlits S Die from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stacks.  I placed a Mini Brad through the center to hold it together, then adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I also stamped the Whisper White panel inside the card with the pinwheel images in Baja Breeze and Daffodil Delight inks.

  1. Amy, your card is so sweet! The texture you’ve added with the embossing folder goes so well with the pinwheel theme. So summery and fun. I’m so glad that you joined us at Dynamic Duos this week!

  2. This is absolutely gorgeous! I adore the stamping and embossing over top on your background piece, just beautiful!!! Thanks so much for joining us at Dynamic Duos, sure hope to see you back again soon 🙂
