Just Married Turned Birthday

I used the beautiful layered cake from the Just Married stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a birthday card to share with you today.  I love this image, it’s the reason that I bought this stamp set!  I also used one of the new hostess stamp sets call Express Yourself, I’m loving all of the new hostess sets this year too.

My card design was inspired by the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday #125 Challenge.

Just Married

I started by stamping the Everything Eleanor flourish image in VersaMark ink on a panel of Venetian Romance DSP.  I sprinkled the image with the Iridescent Ice Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it (you can see the shimmer from the Iridescent Ice Stampin’ Emboss Powder in the photo below).  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Express Yourself stamp set in Island Indigo ink on the panel and adhered it to a Very Vanilla panel, then to the Island Indigo card base with SNAIL.

Just Married 1

I colored the cake image from the Just Married stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it on a Very Vanilla panel.  I adhered the panel to a panel of Venetian Romance DSP, then to a panel of Island Indigo card stock with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Express Yourself

I cut a strip of Island Indigo card stock and adhered a strip of Pistachio Pudding Ruffled Stretch Trim to the back and a strip of Victoria Crochet Trim to the front with SNAIL.  I adhered the decorated strip to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To finish the card front, I added rhinestones to the cake and I tied a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine that I’d sponged with Pistachio Pudding ink through a Very Vintage Designer Button, then adhered it to the card front with Glue Dots.

Just Married 2

I finished the inside of the card by adding a piece of Venetian Romance DSP to the Very Vanilla panel.
