I used the new Label Card Thinlits Dies and the Blast Off stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a birthday card to share with you today.  I tried a new technique with the thinlits dies that I saw on Patty Bennett’s website here.  She has a video tutorial showing how to make the regular card and the extended card that I’m showing today plus there are some pictures with paper cut sizes.

I started by running a half sheet of Bermuda Bay card stock through my Big Shot using the Label Card Thinlits die to cut the label flip.  I used the technique that Patty shows in her video where you pull the card stock over the die before you cut it to make the extended card.

Then I stamped the Outer Space Wheel in Bermuda Bay ink across the two sides of the card and used the Chevron Punch to punch along the right border.  I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I stamped the alien image in VersaMark ink on a Basic Black panel, sprinkled it with Wild Wasabi Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I repeated that process with the star images using Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I cut the images out with the die from the Label Card Thinlits die set and I adhered it to the card base with SNAIL.  I stamped the moon image in Crushed Curry ink on a Crushed Curry panel, punched it out with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch and adhered it to the card with SNAIL.

I stamped the spaceship image in VersaMark ink on a Smoky Slate panel, sprinkled it with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I punched the circle out with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch and hand cut around the outside with my paper snips.  I stamped the image of the boy in StazOn Jet Black ink on a Whisper White panel, colored it with my Stampin’ Write Markers, punched it out with the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch and taped it to the back of the spaceship.  I adhered the spaceship to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To decorate the inside of the card, I used the Outer Space wheel and the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin’ Pad to stamp the image on Basic Black card stock.  I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with SNAIL.  Then I cut a Whisper White panel to fit inside the card, stamped the sentiment and the little aliens in Bermuda Bay ink and adhered it to the inside of the card with SNAIL.
