I thought that I’d share another card that I made with the A Banner Christmas stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  This one is not quite a clean and simple as the card that I posted on Friday (if you didn’t see that one, click here to check it out) but it’s got a lot more sparkle.  🙂

My card design was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches 100.

I started by adhering a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock to a panel of the Season of Style DSP.  Then I adhered two strips of the Season of Style Designer Washi Tape and wrapped the ends around the edge of the DSP panel.  I adhered the panel to a Cherry Cobbler card base with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a smaller panel of the Season of Style DSP to a Cherry Cobbler panel, then to the card front with SNAIL.

Next, I stamped the border image from the A Banner Christmas stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the ink off once on scrap paper before stamping it on my card stock and I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement.  Then I stamped the sentiment and banner in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the stamped panel to a Cherry Cobbler panel, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I punched a Christmas Ornament Punch and a star punch from the Merry Minis Punch Pack from Champaign Glimmer Paper.  I adhered the ornament with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the star with a Glue Dot.

To finish the card front, I gold embossed three of the Candy Dots (I picked three from the Neutrals, but you can use any color).  To do this, I used my tweezer, stuck the Candy Dot to it, dabbed it on my VersaMark ink pad, then dabbed the Candy Dot in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  It did make the adhesive on the back get a little soft and they weren’t as sticky as they were before I embossed them, so I simply rolled up Glue Dots and adhered the Candy Dots with those.

I finished the inside of the card by stamped the sentiment from the More Merry Messages in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel, then I adhered a strip of the Season of Style DSP to it.
