I made a card using the A is for Apple stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s My Digital Studio to share with you today.  My card design was inspired by the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Challenge #134.  Be sure to stop by the challenge page to see what the other design team members have created with this sketch.  Hope that you’ll join us!

I started by firing up My Digital Studio on my computer.  🙂  Then I created an Island Indigo background and added the Crushed Curry ruler from the A is for Apple stamp set in the My Digital Studio software.   Then I added half circle punches from My Digital Studio in Perfect Plum, Island Indigo, Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red.  I simply layered them on top of each other on my computer and shrunk down the sizes to create the rainbow.

I used the label, the A+ and the apple from the A is for Apple stamp set and I typed my own sentiment in Island Indigo.  I printed everything out on Whisper White card stock.  I trimmed the background image down and adhered it to a Crushed Curry panel with SNAIL then to the Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I trimmed the sentiment label, added an arrow from the Hardware Clips Essentials and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To finish the card front, I tied Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine (from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit) through a Garden Green, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry Designer Button and I adhered them to the card front with Glue Dots.

I used another label and the apple from the A is for Apple My Digital Studio stamp set to complete the inside of the card.  I typed my own sentiment, printed the panel, trimmed it down and adhered it with SNAIL.

Hope that you enjoyed a little something different from me today.  This is my first project that I’ve created using My Digital Studio, I really enjoyed it!  Not sure that I’m ready to give up my rubber stamps just yet, but MDS is certainly a great alternative and it’s very user friendly.
